How can I be better? How can I feel better?
This week, on Wait, But What? I thought I would turn to the people and crowd-source some everyday/week/month/financial quarter/turn of the season crisis things that people do to make life feel a bit more joyful, easy, meaningful, softer… whatever.
I worry a lot that the self-optimised how many steps did I take what’s my Wim Hof resting heartrate world in which we live has consequently made us feel like life is not a messy, sometimes wonderful, sometimes achy, and other times boring soup we live in but something that needs to be constantly crafted to perfection. And that this way of thinking does not cater to every mundane win or a very easily attainable level of contentment.
I put this out to the internet, and combined with my own personal 32 on the outside, 72 on the inside-ness, here is what we came up with:

Experiment with saying ‘can I let you know’ instead of ‘yes’ immediately
Sell or donate old clothes you like but don’t wear anymore - make some room for newness to come gushing in
Try to have something small to look forward to each week
