If I were a momfluencer, I would take a photo of them holding one of those black signs with the little white letters, and caption it something like “how time flies!”

If I was a teacher I would grab them by the hand and reassure them that they’re safe here, because we don’t live in America, and even over there they have drills and metal detectors for that.

SYSCA is not a person, but it has the goddamn beating heart of one, and that’s because of YOU. It’s you who reads the newsies, listens to the podcasts, watches the TikToks, likes the Instagram posts and makes me not lonely, even when I am.

The beating heart of this thing is also Rubes, Bel, London Laura, Squish, Normy, Dunc, Abby, Dyl, Sacha, and of course Liv (who is off taking London by the balls.) Two of us here are full-time employees, and the rest of you, well you’re full-time legends.

This year has been big and confusing and weird. I’ve watched my friends and business partners move countries and decided to do the same. I’ve been lonely, fulfilled, uncomfortable, grateful and burdened by the pressure I put on myself (but what’s new?) We’ve been flexing our brains in ways we never have before and doing things that we haven’t been able to tell you about yet, which has been strange. But it’s coming!

At the end of the day, it’s you that makes it fun, it’s you that makes it worth it, and it’s you that makes it make sense. I fucking LOVE YOU and I’m sure you’re sick of me being on my emo shit, but it’s not going to stop until you can feel it as deep in your bones as I do!!!!!!!!
