I don’t know if this helps with the birthday thing but what I try to remind my husband about- who also doesn’t like celebrating his birthday- is that it’s giving the people in your life who you love the chance to celebrate having you in their lives, and for you to celebrate being in theirs. Also there are no rules about how you should celebrate, use it as an excuse to do something you find fun! Though I do firmly believe if you’re having a birthday cake, you should not have to make/organise your own cake.

I love this so much Ellen! Channeled this energy into this years bday and had the most divine evening with my best friends, coming home with my arms filled with flowers and tipsy from champagne. You’re totally right! The perfect birthday rebrand advice 💗

Arms full of flowers and some champagne sounds gorge :-) last year I was Very Pregnant, so gathering (and risking Covid) was Not Happening. Instead, I took a day off work, went out for a good breakfast at my favourite cafe, took myself to the movies (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent with Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal) and spent some time sewing myself a new top (I know, I’m old). Then takeout and a snuggle on the couch with my husband in front of some Netflix. It was chill, and indulgent, and I loved it.

Pizza reheated but it has to be done in the oven/air fryer not the microwave

Used to be a cold pizza gal coz soggy pizza sucks. But the air fryer changes the game!

So when I am putting my pizza away, I put it in parchment paper then wrap it in aluminum foil. Then the next day it can just be thrown on the oven. No mess and the paper keeps the cheese from sticking to the foil. And no cleanup which is always a plus.

Wrap a piece of pizza in waxed paper before microwaving. Elevates it beyond anything you think about microwaved pizza.
