I’m not a writer so not sure why I feel entitled to making suggestions 😂 but maybe it would help to have a note in your phone or even doing voice memos whenever ideas pop in your brain so that when you sit down to write you can refer back to those trains of thought to inspire you
Luce can I just say you’re doing a bloody brilliant job. Bel and Laura and Rubes and evvvveryone too, don’t get me wrong. Here you are learning a new country, managing your work in a completely new and different way, writing a damn BOOK jfc, and I don’t know just still showing up on my Substack and in my ears on the reg like the most reliable and enjoyable part of my weeks. Thank you 💓
i am by no means qualified to give you advice on writing because ive only just started doing it (it was actually you and bel who inspired me to) but i think my advice would be: dont try too hard. if nothing is coming to you thats totally fine!! and i know youre probably on a time crunch but i dont think being creative has a time limit. give yourself some time and im sure it will come to you eventually! (this was so cheesy and cringe i apologise)
on a different note i also have a dog called max!!! hes a golden lab and the love of my life <3
Major fan of your work 👏🏼 but slightly disappointed in the girlies decision to comment on books they haven't read in Culture Vulture this week, especially the Britney Spears memoir. JT was the man in control of her narrative for over twenty years. The world never gave Britney a right to reply, they screamed slut at her when she walked into a room all thanks to Cry Me a River. I have nothing but love and empathy now for what Britney had to endure through all those years. It's a great read and explains so much. Kinda like this newsletter. ✌️🏻😻
theres an archive of all the connection games that are free to play without paying the NYT membership if you cant afford it!
I'm in Maine - it's been a very hard time over here. Your writing has provided a much needed mental escape! Just wanted to give a little thanks <3

Best writer's block tip: change the font to comic sans. Don't ask me why, it just works.
