I studied psychology and time and time again there is proof that men have better spatial awareness than women, it's due to environmental conditioning from a young age, over many years, such as the toys and games they play with compared to girls when they are young. Don't worry, women prove much better at emotional intelligence (due to the same reason).

Lucee nooo not the age old women are bad at directions chat. as a lady and as some one with strong spatial awareness (like my memories are very spatial can see them from like Birds Eye view 🥴 ) this irks me as inherently women are NOT bad at directions. However we do underpreform in tests on directions and spatial awareness. Like how ‘women are bad at maths’ and we tiny have many women in STEM (yes I engineer) our underperformance comes down to nurture. Femnist rant? Sorry not sorry xxoo

Yas that’s why! The disparity is a thing but the cause is generally nurture not your lack of ability. 🫶

Ya this take didn't have to be gendered! Especially in the context of tiktok where you can't provide nuance such as the fact that "boy" toys are often much more about spatial reasoning than toys designed for "girls." Pretty much any discrepancy of this kind can be put down to a history of societal gender norms, rather than biology.

As someone who lives in a state with mountains on one side of me, that is the only reason why I know where north is, any other situation and I will be lost. Even with the mountains it still takes me a minute.

I could never be able to tell where the north is. I have zero sense of direction. I still get lost trying to get to my house. I have lived in this house for nineteen years. It truly is an issue.

In NZ look for the sky dishes on rooftops. They always point North. So that's the certain situation I can be sure I'm pointing the right way

Question - do you watch the whole trailers? I always think they end up giving too much away so try to stop after the first 20/30 seconds (has this been polled before??)

Clever headlines for what will likely be a tragedy aren't the best form. No need to be cheeky.

In primary school my teacher was teaching us about compasses and stuff in science and labelled each wall of the classroom N, W ect and i’ve only recently realised that she labelled them wrong and i’ve been pointing the completely wrong way whenever someone asks where north is 😭😭😭😭

My partner used to be a Scout and will constantly inform me where north is. I genuinely never have a clue - unless I’m somewhere obvious, like a beach and know which coast I’m on

North? Sure...and who would question your choice of point direction?

On another note...how does Zooey get her phone to look like that? I may need an upgrade! Is that a filter? App? Added light attachment? Help!

Yes, something in my ears/ behind my eyes tells me where north is, like balance, it pulls me. My husband has zero sense of direction
