Minnesotan here - Walz is the fucking best. We are SO so sad to see him go, but excited to see his journey continue on to bigger and better things!

It is certainly bittersweet - the eventual special election to select his replacement will be... wild. Minnesota isn't as strictly Democratic as it would seem. We're expecting LOTS of different candidate nominations from various parties and groups to want to rush in to fill his seat. Pray for us, it's going to be a political hellscape until his successor is elected.

Also a fellow Minnesotan! Isn’t it weird to see all of this stuff on the news that we’ve been seeing for years?!

That is exactly how it would have been for us in NC if Roy Cooper would leave. And even scarier is in the interim if he leaves the state, Mark Robinson, the Lt gov., would take over and take all of our rights away. It’d be mayhem. I so pray my state doesn’t vote him in in November 😭

I really can't get over how wonderful this man is to have been a high school football coach in the midwest in 1999 and students came to him to be the faculty advisor for the gay straight alliance. Seems like a lovely man and one that cares about his people, really rooting for some good to come to the US and for him and Kamala to win
