really really glad this was shared! as someone who has been diagnosed by a mental health professional, i never really knew how to take/think/interact with social media diagnoses. it’s that tricky place of wanting to validate people and their experiences but also knowing that a mental health professional is the only way to get a “true” diagnosis. so glad that someone with the expertise was able to put it into words 💚
Tiktok helped me soooo much when I got my autism diagnosis because the psychiatrist didn't teach me anything about what it meant and studies on girls is nearly non-existent
if you are ever thinking you have x mental health disorder, you MAY be able look at some videos like this from the very specific lens of “does this impact my ability to function normally day to day?”. (being v careful with my wording here for obvs reasons lol) (but also “listening to the same song over and over” is straight up just a thing anyone does, not adhd AT ALL! don’t be fooled y’all)

I mean, the obvious guess for your cohost is London Laura
Loved this newsy! Studied counselling/therapy and haven’t been able to articulate my feelings on this topic but today’s newsy did it for me!
Bertram Forer looks like the actor Jim Broadbent to me.
He looks like Professor Slughorn from Harry Potter.

Really good guest newsy today!
Super interesting topic!!
I love this! It’s everywhere when you start looking and is the basis for a lot of marketing these days.
We want to feel as though people are talking to us, to care about us but all they have actually managed to do is create a message that resonates.
I’m actually writing a post this week. Title: “Are you constantly feeling tired?”
Ha....without realising it I’m using the barnham effect!
