A girl I went to school with met her (ex) husband on Omegle, he was in USA and she was in NZ and they connected and then started a long distance relo. She was 16 and her parents let her fly (Unaccompanied) to the US to meet him?! Fortunately, he didn’t kill her! She came back to NZ and then a year or two later he visited NZ for a holiday, pressured her into agreeing to marry him (she was 17 or freshly 18 at this point), she said yes expecting the engagement to go on for a while so she could be sure of her decision, then they got married a week later after he put more pressure on her to do it quickly (I was told by her close friends that she felt “too nice to say no and didn’t want it to get awkward and conflicty”). They ended up getting divorced about a year later when she told him she wasn’t planning on moving to the US anytime soon 😂
