god, i have OPINIONS on this latest twitter thing. see in my mind, i think certain limits on the endless scroll function most social medias have could be a good thing- it could really help kids or people struggling to regulate their phone addictions.
it would be fantastic if that was the kind of good intentions behind the change. but obviously it’s elon, so that won’t be it. i feel like this sort of limit thing could be great in a way similar to how the screen time limits on iphone work, users get to decide how big or small they want their limit to be. i think people would eat that up!!
but obviously twitter doesn’t have peoples mental health or healthy social media usage in mind, and the whole paying to see more tweets thing just shows what a money grab it is. musk is literally burning down twitter it’s insane

From what I understand, republicans and especially Mitch McConnell have been actively working on trying to create a conservative supreme court for decades so that they can do all this shit. Part of the reason why the republicans blocked Obama from appointing a supreme court justice during the last year of his term but were totally fine with pushing through Amy Coney Barrett when Ruth Bader Ginsberg died despite early voting literally being open for the election when Trump appointed her... yes I know too much about US politics for an Aussie. There is a book called The Paradox of Choice - tbh I haven’t read it yet but I’m waiting for my turn at the library! If you’re ever into nonfiction for SYSCA book club that could be good!
Also, I learned recently that hangxiety is because your body’s cortisol lowers with alcohol, and so it pumps out extra once you’re sober to try reaching equilibrium again. Could be common knowledge but I found it super interesting and makes sense! It helped me the other day feeling hangxiety and I just said to myself “I’m fine, my body is just balancing back out 😊”

Turns out the man Stewart is real, but he's been married to a woman for over 15 years and has a kid, but the man Mike doesn't exist. Oh, and he is a web designer. And she hadn't designed a single wedding website before she took the case to court originally. So even SCOTUS is falling for scams.
SCOTUS shouldn't be out here setting rules for Americans when at least 2 of them are blatantly admitting to having sugar daddies (looking at you Thomas and Alito), and that bag of meat Kavanaugh had well over a million dollars of debt paid off before he went to the court. Y'all are the arbiter of what is right/wrong and who should get debt relief and who shouldn't be discriminated against? Clarence Thomas is by far somehow the biggest hypocrite but the fact that there's nothing to check SCOTUS with these whack ass rulings is insane.
