I had the best goddamn holiday of my LIFE (minus a few dramas at the end that I will not bore you with) but holy shit, I am feeling so good to be home, and recharged, and launching a book and… GOING ON TOUR???? Insane.

A knife attack in Southport is one of the worst attacks on children in the UK in decades

Absolutely fucking devastating news came out of Southport yesterday as three children were stabbed to death (and eight others injured) in a knife attack in Southport, England, in one of the “worst assaults against children in the country in decades.”

The attack took place during a Taylor Swift-themed event at a dance school, and here’s what we know about the attacker:

• he’s a 17-year-old

• he’s been charged with three counts of murder and 10 counts of attempted murder

• he cannot be named because of his age

• he was armed with a knife when he walked into the school in Southport, but we have no other details on him or his apparent motive, other than saying the attack was not being treated as terror-related

Taylor Swift also made a statement about the attack, posting this on her Instagram stories:

Everyone is OBSESSED with the ‘nerdy Clark Kent of the Olympics’

My new flatmate and bestie Lucy (yes, same name, yes confusing) sat beside me yesterday and asked if I knew about the ‘nerdy pommel horse guy.’ I said no, she scoffed at me for being out of touch, and now I’m passing him on to you all.

Basically the above dude (Stephen Nedoroscik) is a pommel horse LEGEND and just got the US men's gymnastics team's their first Olympic medal in 16 years, and he’s just sooo chill about it.

The reason the internet is so obsessed is because he chills on the sideline and wears glasses (which they’ve decided means he's a nerd- rude), gets up to slay on the pommel horse, and then calls it a day.

The 1975 are being sued over that Malaysia concert where Matty Healy kissed his bandmate Ross

Feels like I’m walking into the inferno by bringing up Matty Healy in this newsy, but remember when there was huge outrage because he kissed his bandmate Ross at that music festival in Malaysia? And then the whole event got cancelled? Yeah, well the organisers of the music festival are literally suing The 1975 for a “breach of contract and damages” and are seeking £1.9m.
