My babies!!!! How are you??? I’ve spent the weekend in a cabin in Big Sur with my cousins, eating, enjoying nature, and reading Martyr! which is this month’s Book Club book. Speaking of our Book Club: have you seen that it’s back up and running?

The Grammy’s happened
It was a real novelty for me yesterday because, as a treat for my last day in the States, I got to watch the Grammy’s LIVE. My overarching thought was that it was a NIGHT FOR THE YOUNG GIRLIES and I’m living for it. Every time I saw Chappell, Sabrina, Doechii, Charli, or Billie I was so fkn jazzed.
While the cause of the night was the LA fires, trans rights and artist healthcare were also on the agenda - considering the state of the USA right now, it felt like an incredibly liberal event. Here are some highlights:
Chappell Roan spoke about trans rights on the red carpet:
Taylor was ‘holding space’ with Cynthia Erivo
Sabrina’s entire performance was ICONIC I LOVE HER SHE’S SO FUNNY AND HOT
FIRST GRAMMY FOR DOECHIII!!!! Her speech was my favourite of the night and she brought her mum on stage!!!
Chappell Roan won Best New Artist and did NOT waste her time in the spotlight (when does she ever?) Reading from her diary, she asked for healthcare and a livable wage for small and developing artists.
“I told myself if I ever won a Grammy and I got to stand up here in front of the most powerful people in music, I would demand that labels and the industry profiting millions of dollars off of artists would offer a livable wage and health care, especially to developing artists…”
“Record labels need to treat their artists as valuable employees with a livable wage and health insurance and protection.”
“Labels, we got you, but do you got us?”
The Weeknd came back for a surprise performance after boycotting the Grammy’s in 2020. Preceding this was a speech from the academy's CEO about how they’ve “listened, learned, and changed.”
Benson Boone was kinda like a bootleg Harry Styles in his sparkly suit. He also did a flip. I liked this tweet:

I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t been actively following this case too closely, but I’ve been incidentally exposed to it against my will time and time again (my least favourite way to get info tbh.)
Anyway, during my daily scroll of the BBC, I saw that Baldoni has made a website called ‘The Lawsuit Info’ and all that’s on it is:
