Wow! This is exactly what I needed today! Passion is read as obsession--or unhealthy obsession, especially among girls. There's so much shame around this that sometimes it does block us from seeing why our identity connects to what we're interested in. Thank you so much for speaking to this and validating so many of my own insecurities. <3

This is so beautifully written. One Direction impacted our lives in such profound ways. I’m so grateful we grew up in a time where we could fangirl with the most incredible fans + band 🥹

I have the students in my Media School class at IU reading this incredible post/chapter + excerpts from Kaitlyn Tiffany's book "Everything I Need I Get From You: How Fangirls Created the Internet As We Know It". Ironically or perhaps cosmically, it's what we're discussing this coming week. I've been thinking about you so much the past few days. Through your own grief, you are helping so many others in the fandom process and not feel so alone. What a special gift you have to give. But make sure you're taking care of yourself, too. xAbby

One of the best posts ever! Don't let any ex-influencer-man-agers ever tell you how to do what you do best on your own.

1D is the reason I'm a social media manager today - I still mention in all my job interviews that my first social media account was a 1D fan account on Twitter started when I was 13 years old, and I always think about how proud 13 year old me would be of me today, I am living her dream - this is exactly what I need to read today!

You bloody ROCKING women. My (pre-ordered) copy of MIMS arrived this afternoon and I have inhaled it in one session. It’s an awesome book, just amazing. I’ve now given it to my 22 year-old daughter, she can’t wait to read it and I can’t wait for her to get into it too. It’s the book I WISH I’d had at 22!! Well done to all involved. Brava, brava, brava.

So much yes 💕 I love SYSCA and I’ve spent my whole life being mocked for my love of Gareth gates, or one d or the latest pop culture thing, it’s exhausting. Thank you for creating a place where I can feel comfortable being interested in both important political issues but also fun pop culture moments that make me smile

Finding out that you were at the infamous Wellington incident…You’re a celebrity ma’am. I have so many questions about that night! Literally still keeps me up at night as a grown woman. I am absolutely hitting the buy button right now, take all my money for this book. I LOVE YOU!

This is such a great post! So validating for a lot of women, including me, who was always dismissed as a “teenybopper” when I got excited about the things I liked as a teenager. Thank you for this!!
