Scooter Braun & going girl/ boy sober
+ the US is experiencing a 'heat dome,' and what's your personality type babe?
Hi besties!!! Yesterday was HILARIOUS, I went for a lavish lunch with my good media friend where I ate beef cheek and chocolate dessert til my belly was full, and drank a couple of glasses of bubbles, before going to an ADULT PLAYGROUND!!
Close Friends came for the ride, but LOOK AT THIS VIDEO I MADE OF OUR TIME!!!!
I also did my 16 personality test again last night to see if I’d changed (when I was younger I was an ENTP all DAYYYY), but for the past few years I’ve been an ENFP-A EVERYTIME, including last night (lol, 99% assertive - who’s surprised!!)
Curious to know what you are!! Comment below!!!

Scooter Braun has retired as a music manager after 23 years
The internet’s least favourite music manager has announced that he’s retiring from music management after 23 years. He announced it via this incredibly long statement which he posted on his Instagram, where he said he “stepped back to focus on his role as a father,” as well as chief executive of entertainment company HYBE America. He also said the decision came after one of his “biggest clients and friends told him that they wanted to spread their wings and go in a new direction."
A little bit about Scooter Braun’s career (before he ruined it by stealing Taylor Swift’s masters):
“His big break came in 2008, when he spotted a 12-year-old Justin Bieber singing on YouTube.
He tracked the youngster down through his school, asking board members to put him in touch with Bieber's mother, and signed him to a record label he had formed with R&B star Usher.
Braun's other clients have included Demi Lovato, David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Ava Max, Carly Rae Jepsen and Quavo.”
You can read more about him here if you want!
The US is facing record-breaking temperatures rn
It’s being called a ‘heat dome:’ a sexy name for a very unsexy thing. For some of us it’s gonna be a brat summer, for others, especially if you’re living in midwest states in the US, it will be a very hot summer. Extreme heat (AKA 25 degrees above NORMAL) is about to hit at least 265 million people across Chicago, St Louis, Indianapolis, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, New York City and Albany, New York.

Going girl/boy sober
Hi crushes — how are you?! Writing you this in a whirlwind this morning as I try and cram two weeks of work into one before I...go to Gibraltar to witness my friends get married in the exact same place that John and Yoko did in 1969:
What's that thing we always say? Oh yeah, life's a movie!
Anyway. This week, I wanted to talk about the Going Boy/Girl Sober TikTok trend that's caught momentum lately as a backlash to the gamified hell of modern dating. Instead, people are consciously opting out of sex/dating/relationships altogether to focus on themselves, heal from heartbreak and just take some time out from the constant dizzy/disappointed delusion.
I've written a bit about this before (modern dating feeling like a game of the Sims), but I think this Boy/Girl Sober wave is super interesting as a collective pushback to the way the algos are trying to claim more and more to run our lives, and people are getting sick of it.
You may have also seen the backlash to Bumble's latest celibacy campaign, which encouraged women not to give up on hopes for sex and love despite the dating landscape. Everyone was like... wtf so tone-deaf, and they took it down almost immediately and published a public apology.
What's all this telling us? The way we straddle online and real life is becoming more and more fraught, to a point that's making people feel... almost inhumane. Connections feel more fleeting because there could be another one just as good, or if not better, one more swipe away. You can disappear off the face of the earth with no major repercussions. You can vibe with 10 people at once and never hear back from any of them. I fkn love Gen Z for their response to this and genuinely think time away from the romantic internet to touch green, find a hobby and fill the void with something cute and interesting is the absolute tonic.
If you're feeling like you might set a can of Lynx on fire if you have one more unhinged dating story or are feeling disillusioned about the general state of romance, my hot rec is to read Conversations On Love by Natasha Lunn, which will make your heart feel good again <3.

I’ve been an INFP the last few times I took the test ♥️
Many years of testing as INFP, then over the past few it's been a steady INTP (both turbulent)
