When I first heard about France banning short-haul flights, I thought, great!!!! But 2.5 hours on the train is actually...... Nothing? Compared to the same distance on a plane?! This summer, I went from Nice, in the south of France, to Paris, which took 6 hours on the train, without actually leaving the country haha
I agree it’s not a lot but they made special lanes for the most common travels where trains are going way faster. There is a train going from the south west to Paris that takes 2hours. So I guess it’s for these kind of trips.
