Thoughts on the Met gala: I love watching this event every year, but this year, I felt a malaise hearing all the guest talking about what a great man Lagerfeld was when interviewed on the red carpet. I also feel like the theme didn’t open the door for much originality... maybe I’m just bored with black and white and want ALL THE COLOURS (thanks to Pedro Pascal for bringing some). I would love to wear Dua Lipa’s dress and Ellie Fanning’s was so beautiful, simple and romantic, it was giving life.
I totally fell for the rumor that some celebrities were wearing pink at the Met as a form of silent protest, which you also mentioned in your podcast, but this TikTok debunked it: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZS8KuctsB/ - it was kinda embarrassing to have fallen for that, and I’m trying to do better with fact-checking stuff I see on social media, including TikTok
