The Pope's critical condish, Timothée Chalamet's critical acclaim
+ What we're reading for Book Club next month, Luigi Mangione's shoes, and Big Time Rush are going on tour?
Hi babies!!!! Hope u had a blissful weekend. I was back in my home town for my first ever wedding which was cute and sunny and I did in fact cry three times after declaring that I ‘wasn’t a crier’ so we love that for me! I also spent some cute time with my family and my cat and my besties, but now am happily back in my lovely wee Põneke home that I love so much.
PS, if you’re my friend and you say anything nice to me EVER, you better be ready for me to never let it go:

This is your reminder to say cute things to your friends! And print out the cute things they say to you! Make your life feel a little bit magic (some tips to do so here!!!)
The Pope is in critical condish
BUT - as of today, it has shown a slight improvement. In case you missed it (like I had until my bestie told me about it), Pope Francis has been in hospital in critical condition after suffering a ‘prolonged respiratory crisis’ and kidney failure.
“Francis was admitted to the Gemelli Hospital on February 14 to treat bronchitis and was later diagnosed with a polymicrobial respiratory infection consisting of viral, bacterial and fungal elements, as well as pneumonia in both lungs.
After a respiratory crisis Saturday, he presented with anaemia and thrombocytopenia, a condition in which his blood platelet count is low.”
More on his current situ here!
The internet was super normal about Luigi Mangione’s shackled feet
Kidding, of course they weren't. Luigi rocked some loafers with his cuffs at his court proceedings and it seems like he’s on his way to becoming a brand ambassador for… loafers? I mean look at this:
“Google searches for “Luigi Mangione loafers” spiked by 1,400% less than 24 hours after making their big debut beneath the apprehended heartthrob’s chained ankles, per WWD.”
And then of course there were other normal takes:
Mōrena bookies!!!
here!!! Last week we ran a poll for the March book club pick! It was between All Fours by Miranda July and Grief Is For People by Sloane Crosley:& it came soooo close with our book club members ultimately choosing All Fours by Miranda July! Here’s a blurb if you’re interested:
All Fours tells the story of one woman's quest for a new kind of freedom. Part absurd entertainment, part tender reinvention of the sexual, romantic and domestic life of a 45-year-old female artist, All Fours transcends expectations while excavating our beliefs about life lived as a woman.
It sounds saucy and fun so we’re super excited to read - if you want to read along with us in our exclusive and cute book club, become a paid supporter!! ♡

xxLil Timmy T wants to be one of the greats
Over the weekend, Timothée Chalamet took home the SAG award for best male actor in a leading role for his performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, and I’m gagged by his speech. As he was talking about his win (which is also his first big win AND he’s the youngest person to win this award), he unashamedly announced that he wanted to be one of the ‘greats,’ listing Daniel Day-Lewis, Marlon Brando, Viola Davis, Michael Jordan and Michael Phelps as his idols.
“I know the classiest thing would be to downplay the effort that went into this role and how much this means to me, but the truth is this was five and a half years of my life. I poured everything I have into playing this incomparable artist, Mr Bob Dylan, a true American hero, and it was the honour of a lifetime playing him.”
"I know people don't usually talk like that. But I want to be one of the greats, I'm inspired by the greats. I'm inspired by the greats here tonight. I want to be up there."
As a girlie who loves a bit of ambition, I’m so into this.
Big Time Rush is going on tour??
This had to get a mention because I was addicted to this show for a little while as a kid. Also just how insane is this VIP offering: an ‘up close and personal hang’ and being PART OF THE PRE-SHOW HUDDLE?
So weird but also like if this was One Direction, say less.

embarrassed (except not) by how immediately i recognized the BTR image from the teeny tiny preview on my phone lmao
Slightly conflicted that I can't choose morning and night. The only time of day I don't do is afternoon (unless I can nap)
