Excellent summary, I wish every person in the world could read this and open their eyes to what's happening, before it's too late

Really brilliantly written - any lessons learned we can take from these two important books as we get organized and consider acts of resistance? I like to believe there will evidently be a line crossed and he will get impeached (round 3), but removed this time.

Cheers for the book references! My English teacher heart is thrilled to see such an excellent, yet concise, analysis. 😁

Awesome read! I’m loving the essays on how what’s going on in the world today is so similar to what we learned in English or Modern or Ancient History at school. Thanks for putting what many of us have been thinking into great words 👌

Holy crap this though!! Reading 1984 for the first time right now and I can't help but make comparisons to Trump. It's terrifying

Great narrative. It feels like America is stepping into a pretty exciting chapter in history. I just wish you’d dive more into international relations, especially with Trump aligning more with antagonistic leaders and seeming totally blind to the fair side of things.

Orwell’s novels are so vague and generalized in their depiction of a dystopian future that any number of world leaders could be implicated. 1984 presumably predicted the year of 1984 as the beginning of this bleak future, of course that didn’t happen. I’m not sure that fictitious novels should be the basis of any kind of argument, anyway.

personally i love using fiction as a way of making sense of the world, and also this: "Orwell’s novels are so vague and generalized in their depiction of a dystopian future that any number of world leaders could be implicated" does not bring me any source of comfort hahahahahahah we need better leaders

I like Trump. I like the things he is introducing and so do most people.
