My friends and I once rearranged the pictures at an Airbnb because it was annoying me that the 'Beach' sign with the arrow was NOT pointing towards the beach.
I work with teenagers and just want to contribute that one of them recently has been staying with deadpan perfection in response to dire disruptions “live laugh love this for us.” All live laugh love signs are now ironically hilarious by association, and I want to buy one and put it somewhere with grim vibes.
Have you ever listened to the podcast Maintenance Phase? They go deep on like history and effects of health fads, wellness trends etc and it's really really interesting. It makes me think about these newer trends a lot more than I used to! Bc looking back it's easy to be like 'oh yeah obviously x diet is terrible' but when you're living through it it's not always as clear
About the France thing, I talked about it with my grandpa and he said the police shot Nahel because they stopped him and he drove away and the law permits police to shoot people if they do that? I still think the whole thing is fucked up but I think the context kind of gives the situation more layers? I guess? Still, i might be wrong about this, so please correct me if soo :)
Also, i completely agree with today's chime, there's something so awful but at the same time absolutely fascinating about that type of poster and i can't help but take a picture every time I see one.
Heyyy! So I’m French and have been keeping myself updated about this and basically :
He was 17 years old and driving without a licence (minimum age to have one being 18). I also believe he was driving dangerously and this is why they arrested him in the first place. Then as we can see on the video, the police officer was leaning on the side of the car and pointing his gun towards Nahel. Apparently since he wasn’t willing to surrender one started to hit him with his gun and then Nahel started back the car. The only way a police officer is allowed to shoot in France is if their own life is endangered. In the first police report, the officer said that he was in front of the car and so he shot Nahel to not get smashed/killed by the car. Too bad there was a video to show that he was on the side and completely safe. Therefore he shot Nahel « for no reason ». People are mad that it keeps happening and this time there was a video but what about all the other times there weren’t and the police maybe lied and got out of shit like this...
Ooohh, i had no idea there was a video. That's horrible. I understand why everyone is mad, the whole thing sounds really unfair. I hope it all gets sorted out soon and thank you so much for answering!!
Wowee, awesome winner of the podcast! Are they up & running? Will you (have time/opportunity to?) Keep in touch with them? I'd love to hear the podcast xo
My husband and I love to make jokes about "live laugh love" so now we're in a competition for who comes across a wall decal in the wild and puts it above our bed first. and I am DETERMINED. I thought I found it at the dollar store but nope. Our stipulation for this competition to make each other laugh is that we have to randomly come across it in a store in person and not search it out or order online, so apparently neither of us shop places that sell all these terrible signs hahaha
I find these food trends on tiktok so interesting, especially how quickly hundreds of people on the app start doing the same thing and making videos about it. Almost makes me feel like there's more to it, that there's some sort of planned effort to do this for certain things? idk I find it so so weird the way people react to some of these trends

Did you get charged a cleaning fee for that? 😂
I should have charged them an interior decorator fee.
True heroes! 👏 💕

Well, as much as he shouldn’t have been doing that, the cop had no right to kill him, end of story.
