Those of us watching from a distance, the imploding of a country whose election process has been outdated, bizarre, symbolic of capitalist culture for far too long, allowing anyone to be President - literally a criminal, look at the result. Its been nauseating. What is more bizarre, is the noise about not wanting Trump in the big seat & yet week after week, nothing changes, it’s like victims of crime who desensitise to coercive control, who had years of manipulation only to discover they lost their voice, power & capacity to rise above the abuse. The US has never been about democracy, from the outside looking in, it looks like power, control & arrogance, smells like it & now acting like it. I’m sad for all those who didn’t vote for Trump, lots of questions for those who did. It looks like no integrity, values, conscience or respect for human rights. Remember the famous U.S. quote from Vietnam? We had to bomb the village to save it! That’s an attitude, that’s a belief system, that’s an underlying culture behind the power to cause harm whenever & to whoever, in pursuit of its cause. The world should never have let the U.S. ego become to enormous! It’s never been the greatest, when it comes to human rights, children’s rights, cultural rights, basic humanity. Change follows down the lead. I don’t know anyone who wants to go the U.S. anymore, I hope the people find their courage & voice & bring back some humility & humanity.
Seen reports that Iran is retaliating against U.S bases in Qatar and Iraq and they’re taking action to close the Strait of Hormuz too. So much for U.S “peace”!
i genuinely do hate being American now more than ever, and I think that sentiment is pretty widely shared by a lot of us (just look at No Kings Day)
Same, soooo same
this title made me do a spit take
Best title ever
Title is very neat. WAR is an Industry for America. Bertrand Russell said this in 1966 during Vietnamese war.
